Privacy

I follow a strict opt-in policy in compliance with applicable laws and the policies of my email and website hosting service providers.

When you enter personal information on this website to contact me, request information, or complete a transaction, you consent to my collecting it and using it for the reason(s) specifically stated on the page or form where you enter the information.

I do not share, sell, or otherwise provide your personal information to anyone. I may disclose your personal information if required by law to do so, but I’m confident it won’t come to that.

If you opt-in to receive email from a list of mine, you may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of every message.

By using this website, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age. I do not market to children and do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.

I take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to safeguard your personal information — to make sure it is not lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

This site may use cookies to enhance the visitor and user experience. I’ll update this Privacy Policy to reflect that and clarify how they are used. You may control the activation and storage of cookies via your computer’s security and web browser settings.

Some links on this site are affiliate links which may track clicks from my site to another. This tracking information is typically deleted automatically after 30-90 days, depending on the policies of the affiliate program.

I reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on this website. I will notify you on this page of updates, and prominently display a summary and the date of the changes.

Security

If you provide me with logins or other personal or sensitive data in connection with a working relationship, I protect your data with the same care as my own, and I’m pretty paranoid about this. Data breaches are a constant fact of life; you can never be too careful.

I’ve used 1Password by AgileBits for my own logins and personal data for years. I keep client data in individual “vaults” separated from all other client (and my own) vaults. 1Password protects data through end-to-end encryption, key strengthening, code signature validation, and a bevy of other sophisticated technologies you can read about in detail here.
